PostHeaderIcon The World’s First Data Recovery for exFAT Drives!

DiskInternals Uneraser undeletes erased files and folders, and recovers information lost from hard disks, external storage devices, and a variety of memory cards. Featuring proprietary data recovery algorithms such as PowerSearch, DiskInternals Uneraser is able to recover files and folders from severely damaged, formatted, repartitioned, and inaccessible media. PowerSearch performs comprehensive scan of the entire content of the disk or memory card being recovered in order to locate the beginning and end of each recoverable file. The technology matches information it reads from the disk against a built-in database of recognizable file formats, enabling DiskInternals Uneraser to detect the exact length and location of more than 150 types of files.

The free trial version of Uneraser with exFAT Recovery is available with full pre-recovery preview, enabling evaluation customers to get a free estimate of whether or not their files are recoverable.

The support of the new exFAT file system not only provides state-of-the-art data recovery to owners of of exFAT formatted devices such as SDXC and Memory Stick XC cards, but enables the users of older systems to read information from such cards even if their operating system does not support the new file system.

About exFAT

Released with Windows CE 6.0 and available as part of Windows Vista SP1, the exFAT file system extends the limits of the FAT file system used on many external storage devices such as memory cards, DVDs and high-resolution media. The new file system eliminated the 32 GB size limits and files per directory limits of the popular FAT32 system. Used with flash memory storage and other external devices, exFAT enables using extra-large volumes of up to 64 ZiB. In addition, exFAT takes care of fragmentation problems, and specifies fail-safe transaction mechanisms and access control lists (ACL) for user-based access restrictions to certain files and folders. In essence, exFAT is a light version of feature-rich yet computational-heavy NTFS file system specified for external storage.

The new Memory Stick XC format series (“XC series”) released on January 29, 2009, as well as SDXC memory cards are using the exFAT file system. The use of the new file system allows these memory card formats to achieve maximum 2TB capacity, 64 times larger than that of previously largest 32GB cards using FAT12/16/32.

PostHeaderIcon Solid State Hard Drives Takeover, USB Data Recovery & NAND Data Recovery

eProvided, a thumb drive recovery and NAND data recovery company, looks back to when 1 GB hard drives seemed gigantic. Cutting edge NAND based storage devices are hitting the markets globally. 2TB hard drives cost less then $ 129.00. Now we join The Solid State Drive Revolution. SSD drives are mega-fast, moving data at 400MB-1.5GB/s. Better yet, the SD association has recently announced the SDXC; a 2TB memory card with read/write speeds of up to 104 megabytes per second! eProvided, celebrates 10 years in the industry in 2010 & aims to tackle any data loss from any damage to any of these cutting edge flash based devices. More details about office equipment supplies products at Focalprice.com

SSD drives use NAND Flash Memory, tiny surface mount chips that store data. Already consumers are witnessing the launch of SSD Raid Systems! The positives: These new types of flash memory storage devices, are lightning quick, have no moving parts, are super small and can handle extreme temperatures (-60F – 350F). The negatives: NAND flash wafers split or become damaged in many consumer devices. NAND flash storage drives are recoverable in the event of severe damage and loss of data. More details about office equipments products at Focalprice.com

eProvided states “If your USB drive is broken or the flash drive is split in half, losing your data is painful, yet flash memory data recovery is now a solution. Solid state drives (SSD) drives, digital camera memory, iPhones, cell phones, voice recorders, USB storage or anything with storage based or NAND flash memory is recoverable.” More details about sport & outdoor products at Focalprice.com

Flash memory manufacturers implement many NAND flash memory wafers into small spaces, leaving the device easy to break. Why develop a 64GB USB Flash Drive with eight 8GB NAND wafers when one could use a single 64GB wafer during the manufacturing of the device? Soon we will find 2TB USB sticks.

Advanced flash memory recovery is the process of rebuilding multiple sets of NAND flash dumps and unscrambling code. Then, taking the numerous unscrambled files and assembling them into one single disk image; voila, all user files are recovered just the way they were before.

PostHeaderIcon Prevent Data Theft by Controlling Access to USB Flash Drives and Memory Sticks

IntelliAdmin, LLC has released USB Disabler Pro, a software tool for restricting access to USB flash drives and memory sticks. Companies no longer need to worry about becoming a headline in the evening news because data was copied to a USB memory stick, and lost.

Co-founder Steve Wiseman says, “USB Disabler Pro is more than a tool to disable flash drives. It allows you to pick and choose what flash drives you want to allow, and even give a subset of users full access.”

Many organizations such as banks and credit unions have employee policies in place that forbid the use of flash drives, but have no way of enforcing it.

Steve Wiseman Continued, “Organizations such as banks and credit unions no longer have to worry about employees storing sensitive data on a flash drive. If an employee tries to use one they will be denied access until an administrator is called and grants it. This gives IT staff a chance to prevent a potential disaster”

USB Disabler Pro is designed for Windows XP, 2003, 2008, Vista, and Windows 7 – Including 64 bit versions. Group policy can be used to deploy and configure its settings.

Pricing starts at $ 19 per computer.

A 15 day trial can be obtained from the company website

IntelliAdmin, LLC provides utilities for Windows, and Steve Wiseman blogs regularly about Windows administration issues.
